chrismd123 0 Posted June 2, 2003 The darkening of the stairs and the overall composition definitely give this photo an old-fashioned feel; nothing you can put your finger on, but just a feeling. Anything that evokes just a feeling is an excellent photo, as this is. Link to comment
rob_ewart 0 Posted June 19, 2003 I really like the composition and the subject of this shot. Very interesting and fun to look at. I like all the lines, as well as the contrast between the black stairs and the very light background on the right hand side. More fun is added with the shadows of the stairs on the wall. Further, I really like the brick on the left hand side. Nicely captured Link to comment
paul_schamberger 0 Posted June 20, 2003 Architecture always lends itself well to a repitition of form. This image captures this idea well. This is a very veritical image and I think a tighter crop (the edge of the building on the left and past the windows on the right) will help the vertical theme. In addition, the upper right hand corner could use some burning. The eye escapes there, detracting from the image. Some may think that the tree is a problem. but shooting architecture is full of such things. Without it having leaves, it really is not too noticeable and may even add a sense of scale. Guest Guest Posted June 30, 2004 Wonderful photo, Bridget. At first glance, it almost looks like a work by M. C. Escher (sp?). Very well done. Congratulations! :) Link to comment
