cristian diaz barrera 0 Posted July 22, 2002 Hello Amy: I congratulate you by your work, the handling of the illumination and the forms. I would like to be able to talk with you. Perhaps by Messenger (fotoevent@hotmail.com) I congratulate to You once again and I mean to you that it enchants the photo to me that is called "Kneeling nude".A hug, Cristián Díaz Barrera. - Link to comment
paolo1960 0 Posted August 14, 2002 I love this photo! You use light very well, as a painting (I saw other shots of yours). Brava! Link to comment
jmc 0 Posted October 16, 2002 This is a very unusual and thus nice nude photo! Very nicely done! Link to comment
crystalclear 0 Posted October 21, 2002 Hi Amy. I've looked at your nudes and the Kneeling nude is my favorite... Blow it up to a huge size so it can be proudly displayed on the wall! It's perrrrrr-fect the way it is. I saw another user ask what was done in Photoshop and I am curious as well, can you please share with us? Thank you CrystalClear Link to comment
amypowers 0 Posted October 21, 2002 What was done in PS? Nothing. I mean, this camera has a scratch on the lens that always has to be rubber-stamped out, and I may have fine-tuned the levels a tad. But nothing significant. Link to comment
rainy day 0 Posted October 23, 2002 I like this photo. My one complaint is that we see only a hint your left breast. This photo would be so much more interesting if we saw a lot more of its graceful contour. From what we can see of the light reflecting off your breast in this shot, it's clear there would have been some very intriguing lighting effects if only we could see more of it. And the additional curves up front would have complemented the very appealing curves you have from the waist down. This photo shows what a truly beautiful figure you have; too bad we're missing some of the top-side curves. Doing self-portraits with timers is very difficult work, and nearly impossible to get all the angles as you'd like to see them. I think it might be interesting had the camera been farther to the left, hiding the light source behind the door. Such a repositioned camera would have shown more of your breast, yet would not have significantly altered the illumination of your figure (although your left arm may have obscured some of the illumination of your figure along the left side, which would not be good as this is a very nice effect in this shot). Be all that as it may, you truly do have a great deal of talent as a photographer. I enjoy your work very much, and respect your artistic abilities. I've no doubt you'll be a famous photographer some day. Link to comment
toby_tyler 0 Posted October 24, 2002 Put a dash of clever lighting, some voyeurism and a touch of SM, and the outcome is an evocative piece of work. Simply stunning. Link to comment
chris moseley 0 Posted January 17, 2003 Amy, great shot. Try doing it again and adding some smoke/fog for a Close Encounters like shot. Link to comment
incubus 0 Posted March 28, 2003 Simply you are amazing, it is not so easy to work with that cameras (coolpix 950-990) and make that kind of works (I know it because I have to work with one of them). There's a lot of feelings behind this picture and going to the spectator. Link to comment
harishon 0 Posted September 4, 2003 This whole folder is very original. The composition of all photos is just incredible. It's hard for many of us to achieve that while we behind camera, you managed to do that while being in front! If you could share your technic of self portraite with us-that would be great! Of course, very few of us would look as stunning in front of camera as you. This and the other photo(s) with the same light, in my opinion, lifgt through the door I would prefer to be wider-if it at all possible-the size of the door. So it's like a wall of light peeking trough the opening Link to comment
wildography 0 Posted November 18, 2003 This is my favorite of your self portrait shots.. it seems to convey a message of "here I am..." and that you are waiting in submission for whoever is on the other side of the door... Obviously... I like photos that lets the viewer build their own story for the photo One thing though... you basically repeat the pose under your Deborah section... I wouldn't overdo it. wildography Link to comment

John Railing 0 Posted April 15, 2018 It is a very simple and stark photo which actually puts the focus on the slightly open door with the light seen through the crack more than on the kneeling figure. You are secondary to the door and directing the viewer's eye to the door rather than your body as most nudes do. The kneeling figure, which is very nice, is not the main focus which makes the photo more intriguing. It would make a good book cover. Link to comment
