john_green19 0 Posted November 13, 2011 I love the tonality the clouds in the sky add drama. It seems the image was printed on one of the nice high silver content fiber based papers from Europe such as Forte, Berger, Foma or Oriental (not sure if this paper is European made or not). What distracts me is the fact the subject is too far to the right of the image, like she is walking out of it.In my opinion there must have been better candidates for POTM. but I may just be too critical. rafael_s 0 Posted November 28, 2011 I still feel details are important. When I visit an art museum (I am an avid painter as well as photographer, and designer) I feel I learn more about a piece when I realize what type of canvas and paint were used. For example a painting may state 18x24", watercolor on Arches 140lb archival. This is crucial information, especially for those who appreciate the craft. Photography is very similar for me. I miss the days when you could ask about what film was used, paper printed on... I realize we are in digital today, but details like shutter speed and aperture should be a given. Link to comment
