southernman 0 Posted May 15, 2003 Wow Carla, This is really nice. I see the lilies are out at the gardens. Link to comment
nikonuserf100 0 Posted May 15, 2003 Very nice. Similar to my water lily shot, but very good. Link to comment
mark_jordan3 0 Posted May 15, 2003 I really like this one...delicate and serene, the flower pops nicely. Placement of the flower and it's reflection works well in your compostion. Nice work. Link to comment
francisco_j._andolz 0 Posted May 15, 2003 Beautiful shot. I like the light, the flower's color contrast, and the reflection in the water. I would not have cropped it so close at the top and bottom. Link to comment
richard van hoesel 0 Posted May 16, 2003 Beautiful Carla, although I've seen this done quite often, I can't recall any versions as nice as this one. The only minor thing I might have preferred is just a little more space at the top and bottom. Link to comment
karen_siebert 0 Posted May 16, 2003 Very nice shot. Love the lighting, colors and composition. GREAT JOB!!!! Link to comment
matt_kime 0 Posted May 17, 2003 what i like about this pic is the way the flower sits in relationship to the leaves and how its reflected in the water. i think pretty flower pics are a dime a dozen but i really like how you placed the flower in a space Link to comment
mg 0 Posted May 20, 2003 I don't think this needs to be vertical, simply because I love the leaf on the right, and I wouldn't want to lose it. But what Ron was perhaps trying to say was that the flower and its reflection were too close to the edges of the image. Perhaps simply move back a little would have done the job. Nevertheless it's already a very nice picture, with a great flower, great light and nice colors. Regards. Link to comment
saikat.pathak 0 Posted June 2, 2003 Overdone shot, but this one boasts of good composition, terrific lighting and colours. Stands out. Link to comment
peten 0 Posted June 8, 2003 Your flower folder is great & this shot in particular really jumps out. Link to comment
WJT 643 Posted June 14, 2003 if it were my photo, I would give it a little more headroom above the flower. I would like to see the terminus of the adjacent curving leaf. The green gradient in the pad is wonderful. Likewise for that mercurial liquid that it's floating on. Velvia was a good selection. Nice job! Link to comment
