MichaelChang 12 Posted July 2, 2011 The first thing I noticed was the halo that gave her a ghostly presence. From there, I was looking for some correlation between her pose and this initial perception but failed to find it. Maybe it's because of her tiptoe; it wasn't obvious to me why she's on tiptoes. Maybe I'm just trying to look for context and meaning when a model is in an unusual pose. On a re-shoot, I could see some props like a cape near her feet or something on the barrel adding some interest. Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted July 2, 2011 Michael, there's not real correlation, I don't think. I can't find it either. I'm looking for a feeling of the substance of her body in this particular light. I may have overshot a bit on the halo, though. Link to comment
mike_palermiti 3 Posted July 2, 2011 Dougity,The nude model shot under moonlight is nice. The soft image is effective for this mood, but I am distracted by the color.Since you did not provide any details about what was sued and what settings were employed , I will speculate.Shot wide open for the "softness effect " that was not in best focus is what I see here. The problem that I do see is the chromatic aberration that causes the blue cast on the highlight side of the woman's behind the woman figure. If this is the case, then post process can eliminate that cast.Otherwise , a different lens or the same lens stopped down should reduce that blue haze that is so common with lens that are shot wide open. The image is interesting and you are rated by me , on your creativity here.Best Regards, Mike Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted July 3, 2011 Michael, as noted on the other image, I'll be repairing these with your observations in mind. I'll also include here the pertinent EXIF data, for a more rounded understanding of the origins, although the effects you are responding to were achieved in post processing.
