jimmcnitt 0 Posted May 14, 2003 Hello Vlad: This one jumped right off the screen at me. The frame within the frame works brilliantly -- one of the few frames I've seen that haven't been gratuitous. Then there's just something about this unlikely color combination of red/browns and blue that actually works too. Very nice. Link to comment
christian deichert 1 Posted May 14, 2003 Very enjoyable. Spacing is relatively even all around the window, and the vines give great texture to the wall. Is that a person running across the street? Hard to see. Great capture. Link to comment
carol_watson 0 Posted May 15, 2003 Oooooo.... very imaginative "matting"! Love the reflection of the building. Great shot!! Link to comment
peta 0 Posted May 15, 2003 This is a textured piece, and textures I love. Very cool image Vlad. Link to comment

vlad po... 1 Posted May 15, 2003 Thank you everyone for your nice posts and generous ratings. Christian, probably you are right, somebody walking there, I also was guessing what or who was that, but I think it's OK, an EYE should see everything and everybody. Felix, I believe my best work still is waiting for me. Link to comment
StuartMoxham 10 Posted May 15, 2003 This is one of the best reflection in a window shots I have seen. Everything about this shot works. Super job. Link to comment
photomd 0 Posted May 15, 2003 Hi Vlad. Artistic and smart as is the rest of your work. Earthly colors are not my favorite yet this photo makes me focus more on what is infront of the window (as a reflection I assume) Though the window was centered, the unequal plant density between the top and the bottom makes it photogenically appealing. The contrast between the brown and blue (the combination that my mom always warns me not to wear) is nice and refreshing. I would like to see something special in the window that catches the eye, though. Overall - excellent (6/7).Best regards Link to comment
andrew_greeley1 0 Posted May 16, 2003 Beautiful capture Vlad. I love the natural frame and the reflexion. Good work as always. Link to comment
blago 0 Posted May 16, 2003 Extremely well done, Vlad! Especially for a so common subject - a window shot. You managed to combine everything here: soft and pleasing light, an interesting reflection, "tactile" textures, but the strongest element in the composition, imo, is the scrawling plant that ties together all other elements.
