Michael, It is nice that you have such a beautiful subject for your photography. Your exposure is good, the lighting soft and gentle, in keeping with a female subject.  Her expression is filled with eagerness and interest in whatever lies outside the right margin of your photograph.

There are just a couple of suggestions I would like to make.

One is that you have just about cut off the existence of the far eye, leaving us only a few lashes and an upper lid to tell us of its presence.  Since the early days of portraiture this has been called a split profile and generally considered a no-no. Those who are dogmatic about it say that either the far eye should show with the nose not getting near the cheek or the far eye should be completely hidden by a sideways pose.  I generally try to avoid it but sometimes I find the nose of my subject just touching the far cheek.

A second idea is that when your subject looks far to one side, as here, you should leave at least as much space on the side being looked through as the other.  Some of the old books describe this as "leaving room for the eyes to peer through" and "not crowding the vision." The only situation where I find it works as you have used it here is in pictures of a couple, each on a separate frame but mounted on the wall or in an album looking at each other.

My regards,

Jerry
