yes, very nice self prtrait and may be you sould submit it for rating :), but reading all these comments I was amazed to find out some of real Dumas, an artist, a poet, a worrior, an intelligent mind and just a nice man (you were the first to notice me on pn and to support my self confidence - pn owes you my subscription :). Hello Pierre,

Wanting to return the favor of your feedback on my request for critique, and also to explore your work, I reviewed your Latest for Critique.

This was one of my favorites.

Since the title is the "real" Dumas, I (think I) would like to have seen the untouched version - with scars - these being among the marks of life we collect. 

Beautiful separation between subject and background, and a gorgeous sunset. The water and distant horizon suggest to me an island (perhaps hinting of the story of Crusoe?)

Anyway - very nicely executed!

There are no scars on my face as I am, I mean this is almost a pure photo, yes, the scar between the eyes has been removed! I'm standing on my balcony in our lake house at dawn! You can never tell whether it's dawn or sunset on photographs, I know!

No hints, just thought a portrait on this background could look nice!
