JPPhoto1664880217 5 Posted June 26, 2011 I find this image a better depiction of the title than "Death is waiting...". This is primarily because of the color contrasts. In particular, the contrast of the saturated colors in the flower versus the almost completely de-saturated background. In "Death is waiting...", the separation is not nearly as strong.Although I like both images, I think this one is slightly "better" because of the separation caused by the color contrast. jorge_fernandez3 1 Posted June 26, 2011 I am aware of the magical posibility of death at any moment and this image is a reminder of both, life goes on with the Sunflower sybolism of moving with the Sun and death on the other side! Great image my friend. Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted June 27, 2011 I think this is a dilema many experience. Today it is very hard for people, especially if they have lived life 'up to a certain standard of comfort', and then perhaps situations change, 'LIFE' is still out there, but it may cause apprehension, the thought of 'jumping back into the fray' when it will be a totally new 'game' can be daunting. There is a phrase that goes something like this ...'when you don't have what you want, learn to be happy with what you have', I think if we all could do that, we'd avoid a lot of 'mental fatigue'. Great composition Pierre!!Kind regards, Gail Link to comment

Dana C Doherty 399 Posted July 18, 2011 It is like a play on the old saying "Stop and Smell the Roses". I see the essence of nature in the sunflower which is turned toward the man; perhaps to shed some magical light to draw him in? And I see a ghostly face in the center where the man's genitals are that part of the skull where the brain would be. Great symbolism and as always, just a beautiful work of art.Bravo, Pierre.Dana Link to comment
