I was surprised after the scan because I could not see the moon on the original slide. so i made a histogram correction and equalized the sky.

It DOES smack of the surreal, but in a good way. Very clean lines, nice composition. I might make a very minor suggestion, and that is to bring down the detail of the foreground wall just a bit. ...Then again, the wall matches the tones of the moon, adding a reflective element to the composition. Hmm, tough call. Over all? I like it. A lot. Thanks for sharing!

to bring down the details of the wall can be done by an other cropping. I tried it, and it works only when i cut the whole left tower away, and so it becomes just an complet new version!

thank's for the suggestion Greg!

Very cool Robert. On cropping, when it was on my monitor and down a little, I saw a tad off the bottom might work too. Just a wee bit. Possibly. I dunno. :)

Hi Robert. Breath-taking photo. I like every thing you included. Excellent lighting and composition. I wish there was a component on the right side to complment the tower on the left. I just wish. Overall - Excellent (6/7). Best regards

Robert - Definitely don't crop out (or even in half) the left tower. I think it's such a strong part of the composition. The curve of it plays nicely off the other arc and the roundness of the moon. This is very nice. Please explain to me how it was that you couldn't see the moon on the original, it seems to contrast strongly. Good work!

About the moon. I never looked at the slide as a big projection on a screnn. So in the small picture I did not see the moon. The contrast was too low.

I don't get this... you say that it was a slide, but in the technical details you say that you used a digital camera...?

Anyway, a great shot. The cropped version is also good, even more surreal, but a very different one.
