Thank you Hannu! I am pretty good at getting kids to smile, but this little girl would not budge! She had such great expressions anyway, that I think we captured her spirit despite her refusal to smile.

I like this...I think you probably captured the essence of her character more than we know... I wonder though what mom and dad thought?  I love the slightly off-center position of your subject here...seems to fit the overall feel of this image...also the Rembrandt lighting is excellent...and nice B&W tones and textures...must admit though that I'm not crazy about the copyright mark...understand the desire for security...just maybe make it a bit smaller??  Anyway, great pic. 

Thanks Jeff. I appreciate your feedback. I know...the watermark is really obnoxious. I think that the parents would have liked a few more of her smiling, but they seemed to think that I captured her spirit.
