michael grace 0 Posted May 12, 2003 Roller mills are a fixture of small farm towns. This one produces organic "Swanny White" flour. Comments are wellcome. Link to comment
Mike Marcotte 50,782 Posted May 12, 2003 I think it's great. You left all the power lines in & shot it at a good angle. I like this. Link to comment
nathanaelb 0 Posted May 12, 2003 The building does look a bit odd .. but the power lines really do mess the picture up big time .. and the burnt in street lights also attract unwanted attention .. Link to comment
misterken 0 Posted May 12, 2003 Got it Michael. I think the power lines are part of the story here. Without them, it's no longer an operating Roller Mill. Link to comment
bens 0 Posted May 12, 2003 "ingrangous" is not a word, Mr. Hiltner. If you are going to provide a rating like you did for one of my photos, you should provide a comment that is not nonsense. I like the composition of this photo, but the wires are distracting. Link to comment
bens 0 Posted May 12, 2003 Thank you, Michael. Now as for incongruous, I might agree with you . . . I'm still sorting out my feelings about the photo and appreciate your feedback. Let me know your thoughts on some of the other "Ball" photos in my portfolio if you have a chance. Link to comment
seven 0 Posted May 23, 2003 -- Michael Marcotte The building does look a bit odd .. but the power lines really do mess the picture up big time .. and the burnt in street lights also attract unwanted attention .. Hey, sorry to mess up the party : the POWERLINES make tthis image. It's an abstract you ought to have "done" right. I was away on a shoot : and I had to do such a building - so close to call (I went for textures.) Cheers. Seven Link to comment
michael grace 0 Posted May 25, 2003 I am puzzled by the remarks made about burning in the street lights. I did'nt burn the lights in PS, they were in the negative possibly due to the long expousure time. Cheers Michael Link to comment
