looking for something

Hi Moulinath. Nice capture of this bird... and it does indeed appear that he is looking for something. I viewed this image in its large form, and the details really stand out on the bird. On that note, perhaps some cropping out of the pavement could benefit the image. In addition, having a little bit of the paving in focus definitely helps to put the image into context, but on the whole, it distracts from the potentially great capture of the bird itself. My nature shots always suffer from this, too, as my lenses are geared toward landscapes, where you want everything in focus. As I've discovered for myself, perhaps it is time to invest in a faster piece of glass. They're expensive, but I think they'll be well worth it.
