It might be possible to tweak the contrast to improve the seperation of the subject from the background. As it is the shadowed upper petals are a little dark and tend to blend with the background. The choice of green frame is inspired.

You have--IMO--chosen a subject perfect for rendering in Velvia. An unusual subject as well. The various degrees of shade give the image lots of drama. Put all this together with an interesting compostion and you get a dynamite image--well done!

Nabil,

I join Michelle Wood's suggestion above.

Also the dark, lower left seems a bit overweighted within this composition. Withal, an excellent atmosphere and worth a bit more work.

The lighting almost makes it look upside-down, but the major thing for me is that the framing is more interesting than the photo. It is not a bad photo, just a little dark with unusual lighting.

the dark green is very good to support the red stars, fine composition !!

thank you for suggestion on "Lanzarote"

Contrary to some comments, I like the way the leaves blend into the background. I do not think that increasing the contrast would make an improvement.Good work.

I like the lighting effects and dof control. Could you have somehow removed the out of focus flower in the upper left corner?
