jim_j2 9 Posted June 5, 2011 Spent the last few weekends traveling to some Aviation Fly-Ins throughout Kansas & Missouri. Some of these Homebuilt and/or Experimental Aircraft are interesting. This particular one is powered by a Volkswagon Engine. Thought I would share the experiences as best I can. Your comments are greatly appreciated. Jim j. Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted June 7, 2011 Hmmm, a good shot, but a strange little bird. Looks like it's made out of spare parts! And, boy are those some small control surfaces... Mike Link to comment
jim_j2 9 Posted June 7, 2011 Yes it was a strange little bird!I don't really think it was necessarily made from spare parts though. However the extensions, or this door side do make it appear that way!I've seen alot of experimental aircraft, but this one is really small! It's size is hard to compare in this image, but that large cockpit is "single place" only. The control surfaces (Ailerons) of the wings run the full length of the wing, unlike many where additional Flaps are incorporated closer to the fuselage or body of the aircraft. Thanks for taking the time for a look & comment, . . . greatly appreciated!Jim j.
