Thanks so much for dropping by Chuck and your kind comment.  I am using Photoshop, so I hope there isn't anything I'm doing wrong.  I worked on this image on my Desktop(larger moniter), but on my laptop I'm finding the areas that are so light look too bright.  I think the image would look better had I 'cloned' in some of the texture into these areas.

If you were commenting from work....you're either the 'boss' or you have a very understanding boss :-). Thankyou again for your input, always enjoy hearing from you.

Most sincerely, Gail

The reason I mentioned Photoshop was that I was thinking that you were using Elements. I'm not sure what Elements can do, but I'm sure it pales compared to Photoshop and I wanted to encourage you, as I would any serious Photographer/Artist, to use the best tools available, in this case that meant going to Photoshop.

It's obvious that you can produce lively, beautiful art with what you're using, so my suggestion might have been superfluous anyway. Have a nice weekend.

This beautiful rose with your sophisticated touch looks great! Your explanation makes it emotional having a conection to your mother. I feel it sends us a message of the love between the two, which will last for ever my dear Gail.

Hi Gail,

This work is gorgeous.

I would like to rate it a "7" but I can not because of some limitation that PN puts on us.

Outstanding accomplishment.

Best Regards,  Mike
