A bible-crazed protestor outside IBT in Indianapolis, IN

F100 w/85mmF1.8 Lens. One of my favorites, even though it is sometimes hard to control the shallow depth of field at 1.8. Sharp as a tack and great for low light, especially concert photography.

Jarrod was a regular outside the Indianapolis

Baptist Temple before the Federal Marshalls

came and raided the building to collect back

taxes. In a strange twist, it was Jarrod who

believed the local preachers who refused to

pay taxes were going to hell and that the

marshalls were sent from God.

Go figure.

I thought this photo captured the street

preacher in all his fervor.

This is a powerful photograph. The shallow depth of field makes its own statement, as the viewer's attention is drawn to the man rather than to the Bible from which he is presumably preaching.

This is a very powerful image. Strong lines, bold composition and an absolutely perfect expression on his face.

Well done!

I'm not sure I can find anything (negative) to critisise...

Great shot. Only thing I night suggest is to burn the hand a little. I think the brightness of it draws the eye away from the face. But it is a very minor point for such a good shot

nice cropping, great subject. you used a good lens for the picture.

maybe a little more contrast would benifit (did you print at 3?)

i like the subtlety of the picture too, how he's hiding behind the bible....

well done

Just ran across this image, and man is it powerful! This is a really great shot. The shallow depth really draws my eye to his face, which is very detailed and coveys tremendous feeling. Overall great tones and solid composition. Superb work here!

nice shot but keep in mind that the picture by itself doesn't say "bible". If you see this without the title, it could be his union book or a biker wallet. He could be striking and holding up the violated bylaws. He is angry and assertive, though, that did come through.
