Scanned from a TMax 100 negative. A somewhat strong contrast and a

bit f corner vignetting added. The original exposure was made in

April 2003.

If I like a picture of any flower in B&W, that is my endorsement of a successful image.  I usually prefer vegetation in color, but this works really well in B&W.  The tones are great.....nice contrast between the deep shadows and white blossoms and nice veining in the leaves.  I also like the arrangement.  I guess in a perfect world I'd prefer to see it without the little pieces of debris on the leaves, but then it probably wouldn't look very realistic. :-)

Thanks Christal (and Bob!). Great to hear from you. Me, I prefer it with the debris, as it evokes the fact that these were found not cultivated flowers. Some day, I'd like to try printing this one in a wet darkroom. I'm pretty sure my printing skills are atrophied at this point!
