pjmeade 12 Posted May 24, 2011 This is a very nice BW. I like the way it brings out the features of her face. Link to comment

John Peri 1,039 Posted May 24, 2011 Thank you friends, there are lots more actually. If I find something a little different, I may post it. Link to comment
gary_mayo1 0 Posted May 24, 2011 I would prefer this as a full body shot. Do you have a full crop you could show us? I know you use pretty simple lighting, so maybe go into some detail of how you captured this pose. It is interesting how she is looking into what appears to be the darkest place in her environment. Her arms between elbow and shoulder have lost detail, but still an interesting use of the model. She looks almost butterfly like with her wings spread in the sun. Link to comment
John Peri 1,039 Posted May 24, 2011 Thank you for your more detailed comment Gary. No, I don't have a full length of this particular shot. Since you must know my little secrets, I don't work in a studio and she is standing on the bed, so it would hardly be appropriate ! Lighting is simple as you say, window light to the left of the body with some fill in bounce flash off the camera. I fully sympathize that one may like or not the detail or absence of it to the left, it's all there in the original, it's just my choice to present it in this way. Best wishes and thanks again for giving your views. Many thanks to the others too.John Link to comment
gary_mayo1 0 Posted May 25, 2011 John, I have followed your work for years, with an occasional comment. In reading your images, one day it dawned upon me one secret to your success in photographing top rated models. I will not give your secret away, but it is present in full view in several photographs. A hint would be, Like Begets Like. The reason for photo.net success is contributing photographers like yourself that are as good as any talent out there. Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted May 25, 2011 Mon Chum John .. You know I can not resist when you do a high key B&W post I must review and comment... Again you knock me out the curves of the model add to the high key as it creates great contrast and shadow.. You have mastered this fine art approach in this image.. we can discuss technical aspects on what is areas we can always move to a new level such as use of tonal smooth or noise smooth to make a more soft approach but none will add to the beauty already captured. Again salute's mon chum... MJ Link to comment
