Saying Goodbye

I woke up this morning with a message on my phone that my dog had died.

Bit of a bad day but was therapeutic to see the sun rise and say goodbye.

Isn't it striking how much more we tune in to elements of the natural world when a member of our family leaves us?  I think you've embodied that feeling with your photo, with the sun coming up while the water is flowing away.  I like how the rock has a central position, with plenty of space on this side of it.  I also like contrasts, and here the sea is in motion while the clouds are locked in this moment.  It's a very nice photo, one that exemplifies change as well as the extremes of light and darkness that we experience in life.
