Guest Guest Posted May 14, 2011 Alexandra,Crina is a beautiful girl. The lighting, skin tone, sharpness of her eyes, make-up, contrast, eye contact with the camera (viewer), specular highlights on her lips, background and her separation from the background are excellent. The composition and her catchlights are very good. There is something that is out of focus sticking up where her shoulder meets the left side of the frame. I don't know if it is part of her wrap or something else, but it should be removed.Parts of her are out of focus. I don't see a good reason to have any of her out-of-focus. An out-of-focus background is very nice and focuses attention on your subject. Parts of your subject out-of-focus will draw attention away from what is in focus. It is difficult to go wrong with having the entire subject in focus. The advertising (© alexandra sandu) draws my attention away from Crina. There should be nothing in the photograph that will draw the viewer's attention away from your subject. It is quite appropriate to place your name and the date that the photograph was made, if you wish, on a mat surrounding your photograph. Of course, Photo.net places your name as the photographer right below the photograph. Any advertising would be better placed on the back of the photograph. Nice shot,Mark Link to comment
