new work The Ring leader

This is one of my favorite images of 2010 as I realised a long standing wish

of mine to spend a few days in California's death valley. The sunset on that

night was pretty incredible and last for what seemed like hours sitting reds

and blues and pinks into the sky. However, as it tapered off, the sky took

on an otherworldly purplish tint that stood out beautifully against the dried

mud foreground. The three rocks in the foreground provided the perfect lead-

in to anchor the composition.

Your thoughts and critiques are most appreciated.

Great photo and I like the composition with the rocks. How did the marks from rocks happened? Maybe the sky and the mountains could be a bit lighter? congrats

Very cool image Younes.  The composition here is outstanding.  My only nit would be that the mountains and sky are too dark relative to the foreground.
