IMHO early morning light produces fantastic shooting conditions. This

was taken just after dawn. I'd been down on the beach in Pto Jimenez

(Costa Rica) catching the dawning of New Years Day, 2010.

Suggestions for improvement always welcomed.

........... I like the angle from which this image was taken....... different. The early morning light certainly brings a softness to the bloom.

For me, I see more clarity and definition in the foreground leaves, indicating the the focus was not specific to the flower. I would surmise that you used auto focus, and if so would suggest that you consider the spot metering option in your autofocus program. Just a thought.

Nice capture nevertheless.
