This reminds me of the view from Badwater in Death Valley, but with ice instead of hot salt.  Nice light on the distant mountains, and it's good to have that break in the ice in the foreground to help frame the photo.  Great composition in such a stark area.

really beautiful! great composition, too. i just wish you had used a smaller aperture so that the mountains would have been as sharp as the foregound, but that's just to my taste.
