I like the composition except for the green in the upper left.

You captured the translucency of the petals nicely. Good shot.

again, the pic is a bit flaw, as are some of the flower shots in your portfolio. You used a ring flash (expensive piece of equipment) but I can not see any results from it. Try to use a second lightsource, like a table lamp or something to get a structure into your lighting. You will see yourself, believe me!

Oliver, I work mostly in the field and do very little studio work. I'm using a med. format camera and it's all I can do now to carry what I'm using. I can't add much to my field outfit without getting in much better shape. I agree that more light would be nice but it will have to wait untill I lose another 50 lb. and put on some more muscle.
