Wonderful distribution of light throughout the photo.  The contrast of a cascade of flowers growing on the roof of a building in decline is quite striking, as is the dead branch intruding on the left versus the tree with blossoms "intruding" on the right.  Very interesting photo, bringing the past and future together.

Really a nice subject, that you captured very skillfully. Not only lighting is very well distributed, but also the colour tones are so beautiful and help create a fascinating mood. I'm not so sure about including the two portions of the tree trunks on both sides: compositionally, perhaps i would have preferred it without them. I totally agree with Stephen of the significance of the contrast between the dead things and the budding ones. All the best!

Hello Donna, I love this type of shot. I've seen many places just like this while growing up in the south.

The darker color tones gives this a feeling of sadness. (For me, at least.) Very nice photo. All the best, Beth

I quite like this; for much the same reasons as articulated by Stephen, above.  I'm curious, did you perhaps try stepping forward a step or two and taking the same view without the trees, on either side, framing the image?  To my eye, the trees kind of close the image off, especially the left-side where the wisteria touches the bole of the tree.  Good eye to see this composition, it is very effective.  And while your vignetting is a personal touch, I think your overall processing of this image is lovely.  Well done, Donna.  Cheers!  Chris

Thank you to you all for your time and kind comment.

To Chris - I would have loved to have stepped forward and to get a bit closer and provide more space around the barn, as well as to lose the trees on either side.  However, a barbed wire fence prevented me from doing so.  I would haved perferred it without the framing trees, but others liked the look, so I thought I'd post it for more thoughts.

Again, thanks everyone.

Donna, you should perhaps practice pole-vaulting with your tripod; that skill can come in handy at times.

Stephen - If I was serious about my photography I should have thought about pole vaulting with my tripod already!  Ha!  Thanks for your good humor!
