mgm 0 Posted May 6, 2003 My first reaction was to look up information on the camera you used; unfortunately the Canon EOS-D60 is a bit out of my current price range! This is a very nice shot, but there's some pixelation on/below the eyebrow--which may be a result of the digital processing you did*? It's a very "soothing" and beautifully simple image..:)*(upon a second look, I think the pixelation was a result of photo.net's image processing algorithm..) Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted May 6, 2003 M Grace comments about the camera used. Let's take the camera out of the equation. This shot is gorgeous and is rather all about the photographer's setup and not the camera. I've seen many shots like this and they don't come close to what's done here. The lighting, careful attention to the skin, very good selective focus and angled in such a way that the lines and curves make this a stunning composition. This is an exceptional piece by the photographer, not the camera Link to comment
mgm 0 Posted May 6, 2003 Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that the camera did all of the work (I was just being completely frank about what I actually did in response to the photo). A good camera in the hands of someone who doesn't know good photographic technique is fairly worthless. But once you start mastering technique, a 1-megapixel point-and-shoot digital camera can start to be a liability... Link to comment
nachiketa sahoo 0 Posted May 7, 2003 did you alter anything digitally or is it entirely due to the DOF. if you did not alter it .. then please select: Manipulated - No, in the photo upload page. you can edit it using edit image information too. Link to comment
koval 0 Posted May 7, 2003 Very well composed shot. Dof works very nicly too. But mostly what I apriciate is the way the shadows hide some part of the image. Gratulacje. Regards PK. Link to comment
AntonioC 8 Posted May 8, 2003 OOF areas work wonderfully conveying the attention on the eyelid. Composition is extremely "elegante", as the smooth tones. Great work! Link to comment
francois_iltis 0 Posted May 10, 2003 May I say, "The second eye of the beholder". Great shot. Link to comment
doug_capps1 0 Posted May 24, 2003 A beautiful, peaceful shot. It brought out my emotions even in the thumbnail. Thank you Link to comment
