dave_w11 0 Posted April 26, 2011 I played with an old photo and applied HDR i only had 2 photos to work with one a little under one a little over i guess it may have not needed it if i would have got it right the first time any thoughts ? Link to comment
JamesFarabaugh 17 Posted April 26, 2011 While the HDR image does carry some extra detail in the shadows, and livens up the orange in the rock a bit, I prefer the brightness of the green foliage in the original better. If you could get the rock from the right and the foliage from the left together in one that would be right on. (IMHO) Link to comment

garymartin 0 Posted April 29, 2011 Hi Dave, I agree with James, the HDR tones seem over compressed. Personally I view HDR as a tool to overcome the extremes as in the over exposed areas at the top and bottom of the water fall. If using two images, I will expose one for the highlight areas, and a second for the shadows making the highlight areas over exposed but not burnt out to white. Keep going - practice, practice, practice. Best regards. Link to comment
stp 6 Posted April 29, 2011 I agree with James as well. It's like Goldilocks searching for the best, most comfortable fit. Overall I like how you've handled the HDR, if you can just find a way to restore that green. Link to comment
