This is one of a number of Classic Grills I've photographed. I'll be adding more...Shot indoors under complex roof lighting. The chrome really stands out against the pitch black paint. I processed the image to give as much depth as possible to a nearly all black upper frame. Little reflections of light give away the shape in the black. Chrome was desaturated to simplify reflections.

I've been working on a project of capturing the beautifully detailed

front ends of classic cars. I've not decided what I will do with them

once I've amassed a collection - calendars maybe - but for now I just

want to focus on getting great, unique perspectives that showcase

the design and craftsmanship of that era in automobile making. I'd

be interested in any input you may have. Do you like it, hate. Why?

Thomas, I love chrome and catching light off of the details - you've got a neat project going.  I do really like these sorts of shots rather than trying to cram the standard sight-lines of a car into a photo.  Not sure if I would have chosen to hold the color in the emblem but that's personal preference.
