holds the talons. They really are majestic and also act like that :-)

What you see in the background are the snowy mountains of Hokkaido

(Japan), near Rausu in the far North-Eastern part.

A fine capture and title. Absolutely beautiful!  Controlling those extreme colors and contrasts is really difficult.  Nice job.

Harry, this is a stunning image. As others have noted, very tight control on your ev range, excellent clarity and an overall beautiful composition with the subdued but still interesting background. Only critique, (doesn't detract enough to negate the 7), the saturation seems a little heavy. Yellows/orange are starting to go a little cartoonish for an image rendered for realism. Kudos!!
