Diagonal Pier

My wife likes this one, but I have mixed feelings. I think it's the

wide tonal range and lack of nice color that bother me.

This is very definitely a (C-Word) image and the lack of a lot of midtones isn't really a defect in my eyes. The midtones that are present are lovely and detailed enough to carry the image for me. It's appears just a bit greenish-yellow on my iMac here at home so that might be what's bothering you as greens can go a bit too yellow and be somewhat less than optimally pleasant. It's also just a bit light in the shadows which contributes to the same feeling. I have some like this that never made me happy no matter what I did to them. It seemed like they should work but, to me, they didn't.

I'm right there with Fred and your wife. I love the color. Even the strong yellow. It makes it look summery. It does seem a bit tilted to me, but it may well be just that everything there really is tilted.
