Miguel,

She is a beautiful girl. There is an innocent sensuality about her expression that I find very compelling. You have focused well on her eyes. She has very good eye contact with the camera (viewer). Her make-up looks very good. The eyeliner under her eyes frames her eyes nicely and helps to make them stand out. The kicker on her hair gives nice highlights and helps to separate her from the background. The lighting looks very good.

With her dark blouse, she probably could have used a bit more separation from the background. She blends in a bit.

Be careful of the highlights on her left wrist, forehead and her right cheek. They are a bit hot (clipped). The specular highlight on her lower lip is a little too large. It draws attention to itself.

The color is a little warm. Notice that her pearls are yellow. I assume she is wearing white pearls. You should cool the color down a bit.

Her left hand coming in from the side looks a bit awkward. It would have been better to show more of that arm. Perhaps angled more from the bottom going up to her hair?

Your left and right compositional balance is very good. I would crop just a smidgen off the top and quite a bit off the bottom. I think it would look better. You don't want to crop into her necklace, so it would be best to stay a little below the bottom of the necklace. If it wasn't for the necklace, I probably would have cropped a tad higher than I did -- just a tad.

I like the dark background, but I find the light streaks and swirls in the background quite annoying. The subtle goldish line between your mat and the image works very well. It really sets the portrait off nicely.

Nice shot,

Mark
