It is brighter but it will never achieve the clarity expected for macro (and I'm pretty sure you know it).

You have the patience and the drive to get those shoots. The easy part is to buy the gear for spectacular result.

Yes you are correct, I`ll change this folder name to insect instead of macro. I need a better macro lense to get closer to the subjekt.
