dougityb 0 Posted May 4, 2003 This one also looks better with the top half removed, in my opinion. The birds make a nice gently curved line across the image, but I want them to be sharper. The blueness if very nice. The background, the part I would trim, doesn't seem to be doing much to the composition, except pulling my eye away from the nice lines and juxtapositions of the birds and ice chunks. Link to comment
veronika_hubeny 0 Posted May 4, 2003 Nice concept, but maybe could do with a bit more cropping... Link to comment
hal_bruce 0 Posted May 4, 2003 A very unusual scene. I wonder if a little brightening would make the birds stand out more. Just a thought. Link to comment
ana 0 Posted May 4, 2003 I like the line of birds but I find the top half of the image distracting. I wish the birds stood out more. Link to comment
mukund_rangamani 0 Posted May 6, 2003 Very nice idea, but I think the background being defocussed tends to distact. Link to comment
donald_bauch 0 Posted May 6, 2003 I feel that the upper section of the photograph detracts from the subject. I would personally crop off alot of the top and a tiny bit from the bottom and turn this into a parorama. Well done... Link to comment
amason 0 Posted May 6, 2003 Many thanks to all of you for your kind and helpuful comments. Yes, the photo would improve if cropped to panorama image. But I wanted to capture this line of birds and was trying to frame it as well as I could with full zoom (300mm) and with this format that the 35 mm film offers. Afterwards I can say that I should have aimed the camera a little bit lower. I said above that I had inserted 4 glacier images, now I have deleted one of them. Thanks for your interests. Guest Guest Posted May 6, 2003 I really like the line of the birds and the caos of fragmented ice chunks. The upper part is useless and the main subjects are not sharp enough.Ok, I know this comment is similar to the others already posted, but wanted to remark this point and add that it is still a great photo.Keep up the good work! michael_hohner 0 Posted May 16, 2003 Strong vignetting, and the lens was a bit too short. Link to comment
