Lighting is good, but maybe a fill in flash would have done better in regard of putting only the jumper in the center of attention!

Frank, great timing for this shot.  I think the natural lighting was working a bit against you - putting the face and body into shadows.  Fill light will help as already stated (just not easy at sports events).  For my preference - much less DoF would have isolated her and blurred out the the distracting backdrop.
