Doug, what a incredible looking flower, have never seen one before and also have never heard of Miltonia. it looks very much like it belongs in the orchid family, but that's only a guess, am i right? sometimes when viewing flowers all that matters is the flower itself, i call those botanical shots. this for me is one of those shots, i shall copy this and just file it away in a folder i have of unique flowers. hope your o.k. with this.

Correct Roger, it is an orchid. Colours are pretty much as you see 'em, no heavy dose of saturation here - juts a touch of vibrance.

Thanks for stopping by.

Cheers

Doug

Doug, have tried photographing these in the past with limited success.  The ones I have encountered were extremely small (it may not be the same flower).  Great capture, detail, focus and background.  Best regards.  Frank
