kai_compagner 0 Posted May 2, 2003 Magnificent lightning shot. What are the odds that the lightning would fill the frame so nicely? Looking at the black and white version I don't know which one I like best. The yellow toning is certainly working for the lightning. Link to comment
tra 0 Posted May 4, 2003 What a great shot! I don't have any idea how many times I've tried to capture lightning...even on my best attempts, it never composed itself so nicely. Beautiful. Link to comment
dabar 0 Posted May 7, 2003 When there is no lightning to shoot it IS fun to see what you can do with some older shots. I know it is for me. The effect here is spectular. The title reflects my reaction to this scene. WELL DONE! Link to comment
yo1 0 Posted June 29, 2003 man, thats really a great picture of yours, my conpliments!! and well....yeah i want to scratch myself but i don't dare so i csratch my pictures ;-) how long did it take u to get a shot like this, i mean how did u sit there and wait? Link to comment
www.graemehird.com 0 Posted June 29, 2003 Marco, No sitting and waiting. When the storm approaches, I go to the most appropriate of my pre-scouted locations and set up. From there, a shot like this will take 10 minutes per exposure and I might make 3 or 4 before I chicken out (ie. the storm gets too close....). Three others I made that night worked out well too. mmmee 0 Posted February 16, 2005 This must be the color version of your PoW for the week of February 14 - 21, 2005. Congratulations on your capture of these 'demons of hell'. Fear that power of nature!! :)I have a website of a 'storm chaser' you might like to visit. But I don't see any great lightning shots on his page, yet. Some nice Northern Lights, so he is no threat to your market. storm chaser Oh man, I dream of a day I know enough to capture stuff like this. Dan Heller's page here on photo.net is another inspiration. Congratulations on your other PoW as well! Great shooting! Link to comment
