Guest Guest Posted April 7, 2001 Great lighting! The composition is nicely balanced---the dark shadow on the building works well to separate foreground from background, usually tough to do with extensive depth of field. Link to comment
matthew butkus 0 Posted April 7, 2001 I especially like the balance between the exceptional dominant warm tones with the cool sky. Link to comment
rachel_dixon 0 Posted April 10, 2001 nice composition, but might have been better if you'd gone a little less overboard with the grad/polariser combo. Link to comment
tom_whelan 0 Posted May 15, 2001 Nicely composed, interesting color, warm but almost monochromatic yellow/browns. The only nitpick I'd make is that a smaller aperture might have given you more DOF for the background, or you could have brought the foreground in sharp focus and blurred the background a bit. g1 0 Posted May 19, 2001 Unique subject matter dealt very appropriately. Yes it may have been interesting to see the background more out of focus but it's nice to see the detail considering the interesting subject matter - I like the warmth & glow of the light like a summer evening - the only thing that would improve it for me is if the sky were a little lighter but overall this is a strong image - well done Link to comment
think27 0 Posted June 2, 2001 Love the golden light in this image. The texture and the mood it strikes really makes it special. A timeless piece. The little bit of vignetting on the left...almost makes it look like there is a black ominous night crawling into the image. Or, the calm before the storm. Link to comment
