mtmixon 0 Posted March 26, 2011 I'm not a huge fan of the selective color treatment, but I do really like the perspective you chose for this photo and the way you've composed it. I actually think it would work better as a pure black and white, with maybe a little more contrast and a gradual burning of the sky at the top. Link to comment
taschin 0 Posted March 26, 2011 Thanks Michael for your comment. I'm not a fan of the selective color treatment too, but in this case I liked it. About the sky you are right but the problem is the rising of the noise and the posterization, the problem is that in the color version the sky is almost white. Link to comment
mtmixon 0 Posted March 26, 2011 Given the natural texture in this photo, some additional noise might not be a bad thing. That said, if the noise in the sky is too distracting (while being acceptable/aesthetic in the foreground and building), perhaps a gradient filter diagonal from the top left that softens the sky while leaving the rest as-is? taschin 0 Posted March 27, 2011 Gradient filter, that is a blur or noise reduction filter applied with a gradient mask? Link to comment
mtmixon 0 Posted March 27, 2011 I was thinking of Lightroom, where you can apply a gradient filter and then use it to selectively darken/soften that portion of the frame while leaving the rest untouched. Link to comment
taschin 0 Posted March 27, 2011 Dear Michael I have understand, you means something like that. Thanks again for your suggestions. Link to comment
mtmixon 0 Posted March 28, 2011 Andrea. I like the new treatment. Try dodging (lightening) the girl a touch, and see what that looks like. Link to comment
taschin 0 Posted March 28, 2011 Thanks again Michael for your suggestions. What do you think? Link to comment

dolf walter 0 Posted March 29, 2011 I like it, but in this case i would go for the B/W....I gues that's stronger.Cheers Dolf Link to comment
Link to comment
Bravo! Link to comment
Link to comment
Link to comment
