No, El, I didn’t actually mean that. I just wanted to mean the beginning of a hopeful day. But over-fishing is really creating many ecological problems throughout the world. This picture was captured on the seashore of Bay of Bengal. Puri is a very small seaside town and it’s a very popular tourist spot. The fishermen of this area are poor people and they don’t have modern expensive equipments for fishing. They have to be satisfied with very small number of fishes they can catch by their small nets and tiny boats. So Hope…..

Technically perfect. Square format, contrast, sepia toning, silhouette. Dynamic photo, but static in its repetitiveness. But top of the photo is its reason. Probably the fisherman does not know the problems of the world: there is not Japan, Fukushima, Lybia... Fish is the question of his existence, his life is completed in his daily work. Sumon, the title certainly evokes the atmosphere you have captured, with the sun just breaking over the horizon and creating the wonderful reflections off the water. The silhouette of the fisherman and the line of the net is quite beautiful.

a fantastic one. of course i agree with others comments, but i liked to add how the fishing instrument (sorry, i dont know the english word for it - seems heavy for the work, something that is making a great effort to balance the strenght of the nature. my eyes are catched by it, first. bravo!
