whydangle 0 Posted March 22, 2011 This is exceptional Kani! I would go for balancing the exposure from top to bottom with the top half of the frame being brighter and the lower section being darker. As it is, it is top heavy with density, approaching white at the bottom. It works to the effect of subduing the background and putting emphasis on the water, so that may have been your intent. Definitely a creative choice, so beyond that observation, I think this is very attractive and cleverly done!! Link to comment
kani 0 Posted March 22, 2011 Mark, thank you for your suggestion. I didn't think to emphasize the foreground, but maybe you are right. I think it depends on the light where the computer is working on and the monitor itself. Maybe I have to change my monitor. After your suggestion, I did make brighter the upper part of the photo. It looks ok. But I wouldn't darken the foreground. This is how it was when I made the photo. Mark, thank you for your time to add your suggestion which is very valuable for me. Link to comment
juanpavon 0 Posted March 22, 2011 Good morning Kani ! I really like your picture. The flat water, with the chosen speed, has a magical texture and high volume. The colors of the reflections are also very beautiful. I also like the background, provides the warmth that contrasts nicely with the cool tones of water. The stone in the water also a hit, though, I personally, would have shifted to one side of the image ... Good picture. Greetings. PS: did you do any one of water and stone? Link to comment

kani 0 Posted March 22, 2011 Hi Juan, thank you for adding your thoughts. I made some different shots for this area but the haze in the sky did prevent to get better reflection and clear colours. Link to comment

hagar 7,648 Posted April 3, 2011 I think you did a superb job balancing everything out in this shot. The shutter speed to get the texture of the water, and the framing is just perfect. Link to comment
