Ironic that people of this ilk would allow the flag to touch the ground. Universally a sign of disrespect. I'm not sure I really want to know, but what can it possibly mean to say, "Thank God For Sept. 11"???

not because it is a poor photo, but because even as a non yank I find the people in it offensive and very unaesthetic...I can understand why the anti-gay brigade is protesting at a church they feel promotes homosexuality - that is their business, but what is the relationship between that and September 11th?

The protesters believe that God caused Sept. 11 to happen in order to punish the United States for our tolerance of homosexuals.

Being myself this is very upseting to see but its not the first time. good photo but sad message.

I saw something similar in Manhattan. These guys were holding up signs saying "No one on the 85th floor went to heaven" and really disturbing things such as that. How could people be so brainwashed to make such a statement? What if someone like the spouse or family member of someone in that building sees that?

 

I actually think its good stuff like this is posted, because rather than photo critique, it promotes conversation about important things!

After reading you recent comments and seeing how you photographed a protest, I feel like I've learned something about you. You are a sheepish man who only exhibits "balls" when you have a nice, comfortable, suburban-like distance between yourself and anyone who might call you out on your crap.

 

Why go near the protestors when you can just zoom in on them with your cheap, confrontation-avoiding 75-whatever lens? Why not insult pn's members and their models when there is no chance of actual confrontation? You are the master of your own computer desk, and no one can take that away from you!

 

About your photo, its only interest lies in the protestors and their signs. I don't think you could have handled this or any of the other photos any worse if you had tried. Honestly, there is not a single good thing I can say about this, so assume the worst on everything. cheers

Living in West Michigan, where the religious hypocrites express similar sentiments (except for the 9/11 reference) on a daily basis, I'm not surprised. But do people like these protesters realize how fast they are driving the U.S. into becoming the same "religiously" intolerant kind of society the U.S. has been condemning and bombing lately?

Do not get me wrong, I hate this, but I see something here. I see one of the reason that I love this country, America. No matter how much I find someone?s ideas to be unpleasant. I must admit the image furiates me... but isn't that what good photography is supposed to do? Draw upon the viewer's emotions. Well grabbed pic! Simple photo for a simple mind. These protestors are a bunch of homophobic wackos.

 

What I don't get with these idiots, is that homosexuality has been around since the dawn of man... what do these people think, that this was a newly invented thing in the 60s. Give me a freakin' break!
