GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted April 11, 2011 So nice to see you posting new images. This one in particular is lovely. The countryside is outstanding as well as this ancient abode where the women have gathered. Lovely color, clarity and depth. I feel as though I could step right into the image. Brad Cloven 58 Posted May 1, 2011 I see from your main page you are looking especially for critiques. The subject is fantastic. The ladies are perfectly arranged and exposed. The brick road and road up the hill are spectacular lines to follow. Tremendous photograph, from framing to exposure, clarity, depth of field, etc. I would be extremely proud if any of my photos approached this level of success. And now for a quick film-guy critique. The colors are too muted for my taste. I'm sure the colors are quite accurate to what the human eye would see. But for my use of photography as art, I prefer richer color. If it wouldn't make the ladies look unnatural, with a digital capture like this, I would turn up the saturation just a bit. Most people would prefer your interpretation of natural colors. A few of us really love colors that pop out at you, and that's the only shortfall for me. Spectacular shot. I'm envious. Link to comment
