The symmetrey between these earth and sky patterns juxtaposed against the opposition of color schemes in each, add to the sheer exoticness of the subject matter to make for a powerful and very unique landscape portrait. Congratulations! This is awesome.

This really is an exciting image, which is made more significant by the fact that all the elements are static. I enjoy the fact that the lines in the ice are echoing the lines the clouds.  I would like to see a touch more contrast in this image as overall the tonal range is lacking depth. Additionally the other problem I have is the slightly tilted horizon that is taking my attention away from the excitement of the image. Thank you for posting this Chip. Your passion for your craft is quite evident.

An amazing scene you captured here. The leading lines in the ice and in the clouds are superb. Very good eye! The light and colours are beautiful. An example of perfect landscape. Already into my favourites. Excellent work Chip!
