chip phillips 0 Posted March 14, 2011 Open water is hard during winter in the Canadian Rockies, so I was pretty happy to come across this partially frozen area in Kananaskis Country. The water was partially open due to some hot springs running, so I was able to capture this image at sunrise. Thanks for looking! Chip Link to comment

stp 6 Posted March 16, 2011 This is simply a superb composition. I really like how the small amount of open water, now partly frozen over, leads the viewer's eye on toward the mountain. The light on the mountain and clouds is wonderful. This is very nicely done. Link to comment
