Funny, I was just thinking about taking a similar picture of our own black cat. You did a very good job with this one, so it will be very hard to make it better. I only think I would have removed the patch of hair near the bottom of the picture.

I too would love to see a slightly tighter crop. However, I do like the exposure very much.

Sorry everyone..I love the wider crop...it was just TOO much on the eyes with a tighter crop, and I wanted a feel of the blackness AROUND as much as the cat itself..!!

I love your wide crop and really love this photo also! I must commend you on this image; both my black cat and my charcoal cat are the most difficult for me to photograph. You have done an excellent job here...beautiful cat and portrait! Thank you for sharing. :)
