Red dogwood in the morning

Please advise to improve

It could be a Zen temple in the background but I guess it's Missouri. The only real thing to bother me is the hot spot of sunlight on the wall. I think I would have darkened it down just a touch.

I dunno, Fred, I'd think Missouri would have dirt and stuff. It looks like a house to me.

 

This would work real well if it was just the branches against the roof and the one back wall. I'm not one to demand minimalism, but this is one picture that does seem to want a lot fewer things. Fewer windows, fewer blotches of light, fewer rain gutters, fewer leafless branches. All of these things really do distract from what should be a very powerful image.

The red foliage against the blue shingles is the best part of the image. Like the other said, the rest is more of a distraction.
