Paramount Lighting

Mike,

  This does not look like Paramount Lighting to me.  You have your key light above her to give the butterfly shadow under the nose, but is too far back and makes a shadow that is too large, and you seem not to have used any fill reflector at all, nor is the catch light in the eyes sufficient.  The result is that her portrait is much too dark. Her hair and garment completely blend into the background.

Thanks. Looking back at the photo of the setup, I see that I didn't move the reflector as I should have. It was still off to her right. Not very effective. Next time I'll move the main closer and make sure I get the reflector in the right place. Maybe using a white back drop instead of red would also help.
