jyfoto 1 Posted March 15, 2011 Appropriate title for this image of interesting flow, form and texture. Keen eye and mind! Very nice and interesting to view. Link to comment
LenMarriott 9 Posted March 16, 2011 You don't indicate if any image distortion manipulation was made here but in any case, you've done a superb job of composing this image. Based on what I see here I'm guessing this was a tree trunk. If you let your mind go you can perhaps also see the back of a crocodile. the tail being in the lower left with a rear leg in the lower right. :-) It's a toss up as to whether the original colour version or the B&W one is the superior image. The viewer's artistic bent will determine that. Very subjective. I'll side with the colour one for it's subtle brown\orange tones. For you at least, a successful visual exercise, for the rest of us a lesson in composition. Can't imagine how I'd improve on it. Best, LM. Link to comment

amalsircar 2 Posted March 16, 2011 Jim, thank you very for your encouraging feedback.Len, I have not distorted or manipulated this image. I composed the shot that way, liking the texture and curve. After you pointed out, I enjoyed your observation about the trunk, looking like a crocodile.Your encouraging feedback is very much appreciated. I am uploading a shot of the same tree, from another perspective. Link to comment
