Appropriate title for this image of interesting flow, form and texture.  Keen eye and mind! Very nice and interesting to view.

You don't indicate if any image distortion manipulation was made here but in any case, you've done a superb job of composing this image.  Based on what I see here I'm guessing this was a tree trunk.  If you let your mind go you can perhaps also see the back of a crocodile. the tail being in the lower left with a rear leg in the lower right. :-)  It's a toss up as to whether the original colour version  or the B&W one is the superior image.  The viewer's artistic bent will determine that. Very subjective.  I'll side with the colour one for it's subtle brown\orange tones.  For you at least, a successful visual exercise, for the rest of us a lesson in composition.   Can't imagine how I'd improve on it.  Best, LM.

Jim, thank you very for your encouraging feedback.

Len, I have not distorted or manipulated this image. I composed the shot that way, liking the texture and curve. After you pointed out, I enjoyed your observation about the trunk, looking like a crocodile.Your encouraging feedback is very much appreciated. I am uploading a shot of the same tree, from another perspective.
