I like the tonal range in this image. It is certainly better that I would have expected for this camera: at first I thought you had used LF.

 

It gets a bit dark in the left side: you should probably crop a touch and use that to get rid of that bush (?) as well?

the subject matter is wonderful. What's missing is better contrast. It's clear that you found a great light filtering into the frame. Perhpas if you had waited for the light a while longer, you might have found that moment when the sun gave it's full attention to this spot. I still rate it very lovely to look at.

I think to have more light on the subject he wouldn't need to wait he would have to have been sooner there, or am i wrong?! Anyway I think its great the way it is. I like it.
